Qualifications
Required Qualifications include:
CompTIA Security CE certification required
Bachelors Degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science Business Administration etc.
Minimum of 46 years of handon experience in Windows & Linux system administration network security and vulnerability management and incident response
Must be able to work onsite at DSCA office in Washington DC. Telework may also be available at the discretion of the government.
Desired Qualifications include:
Handson experience supporting enterprise applications using technologies including: Microsoft .NET (version 4.x) WinForms Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Entity Framework (EF) Microsoft Bing Maps COM Interop Microsoft Word Automation SQL Query Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) Administration & Code Version Management and Adobe RoboHelp.
Familiarity with Java and Natural is considered helpful but not required.
Duties & Responsibilities
The DCSA System Administrator ensures complete continuous and successful steadystate operations for 2 DCSA applications. SteadyState Operations means maintenance and operation of current IT systems at current capability and performance level including maintenance of existing information systems configuration data communications maintenance and replacement of broken IT equipment.
Create Operational Verification Checklist for elements within each system that will be verified to ensure normal business operations and submit the checklist to the Government for revision or updates on a quarterly basis. The System Administrator uses Operational Verification Checklist to conduct a daily check on all systems to verify that they are operational. The System Administrator sends a status report to the COR (or designee) and project managers by 08:00 a.m. each Federal business day that identifies each failure/issue and escalate as needed and identifies items in which the performance was outside the threshold for acceptable performance.
Submit and revise on a monthly basis operational performance measures for business application system processes that include minimum and maximum thresholds as well as average or normal operational thresholds.
Help improve performance on the investigators laptop and deployment activities as well as in the management of collaboration of related efforts using a webbased collaboration tool.
Test and implement Team Sites for organizational units and field investigators for the purpose of managing the list of known issues KM on how investigators can resolve issues and a collaborative environment where investigators broker systems and related services and system owners can work together to identify and solve problems.
Respond to ServiceNow tickets for login access user audits etc.
Respond to ServiceNow tickets related to FWS and NFW user issues and its components.
Provide weekly reports and triage summaries.
Deliverables
