Java Full Stack Tech Lead

Location:

Responsibilities

• Own oversee and drive the strategy of the development implementation assessment and support of one or more environments applications or platforms.
• Drives and architects the overall health performance availability and resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments applications or platforms.
• Serves as the deep technical expert on the team; owns training program for junior engineers and mentors as the go to resource on the team.
• Evaluates and makes decisions on new technologies and how they fit into the product solutions.
• Displays outward thinking develops strategies for the full software development lifecycle of new and emerging technologies and demonstrates the viability; owns recommended technologies maintain budget constraints and ensure communication and awareness of implemented technology
• Creates reviews and approves technical documentation specifications and project artifacts with Sr Engineers
• Recommends standards and best practices across the entire bank for technology
• Define highlevel application platform architectural guidelines and articulate reasoning and tradeoffs for choices to business owners
• Deep understanding of the business; drives formulates and designs complex solutions to anticipate and meet business needs
• Develop architecture diagrams detailed design diagrams interfaces working with all the dependent technical teams

• Lead a team of developers to design develop and deploy robust scalable and secure software solutions in compliance with enterprise standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and midlevel developers to foster growth and ensure best practices are followed
• Lead end to end development from User interface to server side logic to database management for all applications under the squad
• Hands on development root cause analysis defect analysis as needed
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and improve team skills
• Applies and proactively prepares to ensure proper security standards for code development.
• Provides direction and recommendations on solutions for security vulnerabilities if uncovered and represent Security variances in Security Technology review meetings
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to ensure system scalability reliability availability
• Independently develops and sets best practices for developing clean maintainable testable code; performs code reviews for all levels of engineer and drives high standards for code quality testing and documentation
• Provide recommendations for tools and develop plans and strategies to improve overall hygiene for code development delivery and release practices
• Develop a culture of modern software development practices
• Own the applications and operational system tasks associated with the applications
• Ensure seamless communication between development teams other departments such as QA Enterprise Architecture etc
• Stay up to date with latest trends in full stack development continuously researching and evaluating new technologies that can improve applications

Skills:

• Experienced and adept at trouble shooting and debugging
• Must understand and have implemented core development principles
• Experience working with RESTful API design SOAP services and microservices architecture
• Proficient in front end development using React JS Angular CSS HTML5 JavaScript ES6
• Relational Database experience (SQL Oracle)
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices code management (bitbucket Gitlab) CI/CD pipelines containerization (Docker Jenkins Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure
• Utilized code review tools such as SonarQube
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress Mocha etc
• Knowledge of Siebel CRM webservices is a plus
• Hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams
• Strong problemsolving abilities and ability to drive technical solutions in a fastpaced environment
• Driven leader with ability to mentor and motivate team members and foster positive and productive team culture (This is critical skill for the role in addition to technical expertise)
• Experience working in agile development environment (Kanban Scrum)

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years in full stack software development with hands on experience with front end (React Angular) backend technologies (java ) and web service integrations
• Minimum 5 years of experience with databases such as Oracle SQL
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a tech lead role demonstrating leadership and team management skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking / finance industry

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree with computer science or equivalent experience required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $95000 to $120000 annually depending on location and jobrelated factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for shortterm incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
