Job Description
Kids Science Labs offers summer camps dayoff camps birthday party experiences and handson science classes/events throughout the year to students ages 412 and their families. Founded in 2010 the Company operates locations in Chicago and Seattle. Our assistant general manager to oversee center operations and ensure parents and children have a wonderful experience from the time they enter the center. In your role you will be responsible for managing the summer camp experience for guests managing the staff schedule to achieve key business objectives training new staff in the birthday party experience and ensuring the center operates smoothly throughout the week.
During the summers you will lead the delivery of our summer camp experience managing a staff of up to 6 teachers to support the outstanding deliery of our award winning program. During the rest of the academic year your role will include managing center operates and the birthday team experience. It is imorportant to note that the role does require some schedule flexibility while the summer is MF the rest of the academic year does involve managing the birthday experience on the weekends typically working a few weekdays and at least one weekend day. Successful leaders must be seeking to offer and be accountable for fivestar customer experiences to our students families and their guests.
All candidates should be willing to learn enjoy communicating with customers and teams and have the ability to multitask. Requirements
- BS/BA degree (preferably in communication business science education or organizational psychology)
- High level of organization ability to prioritize and be proactive in seeing and solving problems
- Strong decision making skills
- Previous experience delivering exceptional service and managing small teams in retail environments.
- Ability to adapt and operate in a dynamic environment
- Must have the ability to offer excellent training to staff
- Ability to manage schedules and resolve team conflict
- Enjoy working with teams and delivering outstanding experiences to families.
- We encourage restaurant hostesses retail mangers customer service mangers and shift managers to apply for this role
- This role is fulltime including MF for 20 weeks a year (camp) and a 4day work week including managing the staff and center operations for the weekend for the remaining 30 weeks a year.
