Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a coursebycourse basis; strong academic background is required.
Semester: Fall semester
Adjunct Faculty: Criminal Justice
Example: The instructor will be responsible for helping to prepare and teach a twelveweek course on criminal justice leadership. This position is for inperson courses only the instructor must be able to teach on campus. This course is part of the new Criminal Justice Leadership Certificate and the appointed adjunct will assist in developing this course and program. Students in the Criminal Justice Program must complete an internship; therefore the instructor must have extensive connections in the New Hampshire criminal justice field.
Course: CRMJ 281 Criminal Justice Leadership
Adjunct appointments are temporary for a specified contract period.
The compensation rate is $800$950 per contact hour or $47.95 $59.45 per clinical rate per hour if applicable. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank based on education industry and/or teaching experience.
The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
Education: Masters degree from a recognized college or university majoring in criminal justice or a similar field. A terminal degree is preferred.
Experience: Six 6 years of professional experience in the criminal justice system with a history of progressive responsibility (command ranks are preferred). Experience teaching and developing collegelevel courses is preferred.
