CLASS SUMMARY: Under general direction incumbent(s) coaches sports activities to students including creating game plans observing practice drills and explaining safety rules and history of the sport. Incumbent(s) schedules activities and tournaments prepares area of use and sets up appropriate staff needed to carry out practices and games.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for this position an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. In addition verification of these required qualifications is necessary.
High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D. prior to being hired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
It is preferred that applicant possesses the following preferred qualifications; however the following qualifications are not required to be eligible for this position.
Bachelors degree in Education;
One year of teaching experience;
Valid Arizona Department of Education Teacher Certificate.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
