FLSA Status:Exempt

Reports To: Site Director

Schedule: MTh 9 am 6pm & F 8am 5pm

Salary:$115k Annually

Purpose: As a Program Manager your primary role will be to provide topquality patientcentered mental health therapy within our intensive outpatient setting. You have the opportunity to employ evidencebased therapeutic modalities to support clients in addressing and overcoming their unique challenges. A significant part of your role will be to effectively utilize our programs material to guide the therapeutic process customizing its application to fit the specific needs and recovery goals of each client. Your work will involve close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals ensuring the delivery of holistic and integrated care. The Manager is responsible for leading the track of patients and providers being available for consultation and supporting families as they seek treatment with BACA.

*BACAs Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) are for patients suffering from moderate to severe mental health symptoms that need a higher level of care than routine outpatient clinic services. The BACA program is designed to help patients and families address contributing factors to mental health symptoms and change entire systems in order to restore youth to normal levels of functioning. This position requires a clinician who enjoys working with patients and families is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities (including group therapy) has excellent leadership qualities and problemsolving skills is creative and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Organize and facilitate weekly treatment team meetings biweekly goal reviews and weekly IOP groups and provide individual therapy and parent support as necessary.
  • Handle case management responsibilities for the IOP track including treatment and discharge planning referrals and collaboration with external providers like social workers and referring clinicians as well as coordinating with other treatment facilities for higher or specialized care needs.
  • Conduct assessments for potential IOP patients.
  • Offer clinical mentorship and consultation to licensed and prelicensed team members.
  • Collaborate with the IOP coordinator to address administrative needs.
  • Resolve clinical service gaps or issues as they arise and handle patient/parent grievances within the program.
  • Manage IOP group staffing and coverage requirements providing support as needed.
  • Contribute to the revision of manuals and procedures.
  • Provide group facilitation training to IOP clinicians.
  • Participate in the onboarding process for new clinicians.
  • Take part in the interview process for IOP team members.
  • Work closely with the community outreach manager to develop presentations and engage in community outreach activities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to concisely summarize relevant clinical information through written correspondence and timely medical record documentation.
  • Incorporate BACAs vision mission and values into daily operations and decisionmaking.

Competencies:

  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of dual diagnosis treatment and the principles of traumainformed care and familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven ability to guide a team and manage a program.
  • Communication: Ability to interact effectively with patients staff and stakeholders.
  • Organizational: Excellent skills in coordinating patient care and managing resources.
  • Regulatory Knowledge Understanding of healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • EHR Proficiency: Experience with Electronic Health Record Systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with all parties involved.
  • Cultural Competency: Respect for the diverse backgrounds of patients.
  • Crisis Management: Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Continuing Education: Commitment to staying updated on latest research and best practices.
  • Google Suite (Preferred): Experience with Google Suite for tasks like document creation data management and communication is preferred but not required.

Required education and experience:

  • Masters degree in social work Psychology Counseling or a related field.
  • Must have an active license in the state of California with at least 1 year of experience as a BACA Associate or 2 years of relevant work experience in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) Residential Inpatient or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) settings.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards and BACA policies and procedures
  • Employee must reside in California
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Be flexible and adaptable to organizational and program changes
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Google Drive and Google Suite a huge plus
  • Knowledge of bestpractices for mental health treatment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Effectively communicate in written and verbal form with staff and patients
