What the Role Is
Super Star Car Wash is seeking a highly organized detailoriented and knowledgeable Payroll & Total Rewards Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing and contribute to the development and administration of total rewards strategies. This role is responsible for managing weekly payroll for 1200 employees across multiple states ensuring accuracy compliance and excellent employee experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to process improvement compliance and crossfunctional collaboration.
What Youll Be Doing

Payroll Operations
- Lead coach and collaborate with a payroll specialist to ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll.
- Review and approve payroll data including hours worked bonuses commissions deductions and wage garnishments.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with federal state and local payroll laws and tax regulations including those specific to California.
- Manage offcycle payments and special check requests with urgency and accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll reports and audit payroll data for accuracy and alignment with company policies.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll processes and systems including ADP Workforce Now.
- Prepare and submit payrollrelated reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Support payrollrelated audits and yearend activities (e.g. W2 distribution tax filings)
Total Rewards
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and wellness offerings.
- Partner with benefits brokers vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth plan administration and issue resolution.
- Help coordinate and communicate open enrollment processes and benefitrelated education.
- Monitor trends in the market and provide input on competitive pay and benefits strategies.
- Assist with total rewards reporting analysis and compliance (e.g. ACA 5500 filings).
- Contribute to the design and implementation of employee recognition and rewards programs.
What Were Looking For
- Minimum of 4 years of payroll experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Strong knowledge of multistate payroll laws and tax regulations. California experience is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Total Rewards programs including compensation structures health and welfare benefits and recognition initiatives.
- Experience partnering with benefits vendors and supporting open enrollment and employee communications.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements related to total rewards (e.g. ACA 5500 filings wage and hour laws).
- Excellent attention to detail accuracy and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal communication and crossfunctional collaboration skills.
