St. John Paul II Catholic Schoolis a vibrant faith community dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging education to students from preschool through eighth grade. Job Summary:
Due to growing enrollment and continued excellence in our educational program we are expanding to include a second 3rd grade classroom and are seeking a missiondriven 3rd Grade Teacher to provide instructional classes in accordance with our schools mission principles and curriculum. The ideal candidate will be able to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the purpose of the Church participate in professional development and implement new educational strategies. This position requires someone who can support our Catholic School Mission and Philosophy differentiate instruction and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Teach all assigned subjects in accordance with the schools mission principles and curriculum.
- Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the mission and purpose of the Church.
- Participate in faculty meetings learning teams and professional development.
- Implement new educational strategies and effectively manage the classroom.
- Support the Catholic School Mission and Philosophy.
- Adhere to the employee handbook.
- Differentiate instruction write objectivecentered lesson plans and maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Exhibit competence in instructional methods and knowledge of subject matter.
- Demonstrate good classroom management and a collegial atmosphere.
- Integrate technology into lessons and communicate effectively with the school community.
- Maintain confidentiality integrity and honesty.
- Plan organize and meet deadlines.

Salary Range:$36300 $85000 annually
- Starting salary is determined by the candidates teaching experience and education level
- Ascension Catholic Academy follows a structured stepandlane salary schedule similar to public school. The final compensation package will be based on verified teaching experience and educational credentials.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Education or related field
- Successful completion of background check
- Knowledge of and commitment to Catholic School Mission and Philosophy
- Demonstrated classroom management and ageappropriate teaching skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and create learning objectives for diverse learners
- Proficiency in educational technology and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with faculty parents and administrators
- Active participation in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities
- Ability to maintain student confidentiality and demonstrate professional integrity
- Dedication to professional growth and emerging educational practices
- Experience developing and implementing engaging lesson plans

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work a fulltime schedule of 40 hours per week including attendance at required school events (graduation holiday programs and other activities as determined by administration)
- Sustained mobility to move throughout classroom and school environments for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks required in an educational setting
- Full sensory capabilities including ability to speak clearly see hear and respond effectively to students staff and administrators at all times
- Ability to fulfill all commitments of the educational program throughout the school year
