Job Responsibilities 1. Assure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical. 2. Coordinated daily housekeeping duties with nursing services when performing routine cleaning in resident living areas. 3. Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean safe comfortable and attractive manner. 4. Assure that established infection control and universal practices are maintained when performing housekeeping duties. 5. Keep work areas free of hazardous objects. 6. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies. 7. Keep supervisor informed of supple needs. 8. Clean work/supply carts equipment etc. as necessary or directed. 9. Perform daytoday housekeeping functions as assigned. 10. Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily assignments. 11. Clean/polish furnishings fixtures ledges room heating/cooling units etc. in resident rooms recreational areas etc. daily as instructed. 12. Clean wash sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures. 13. Clean floors to include sweeping dusting damp/wet mopping striping waxing buffing disinfecting etc. 14. Clean carpets to include vacuuming shampooing deodorizing and disinfecting etc. 15. Clean walls and ceiling by washing wiping dusting spot cleaning disinfecting deodorizing etc. 16. remove dirt dust grease film etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions. 17. Clean hallways. 18. Discard waste trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liners. 19. Clean vacant rooms as assigned. 20. Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers. 21. Maintain the confidentiality of resident information. 22. Honor the residents personal and property rights. 23. Turn in all found articles to the charge nurse. Must have weekend availability.
