Primary duties will includeproviding strategic vision/leadership in coordinating Library outreach efforts; leading intentional/innovative design of coordinated programming to promote learning and scholarship community engagement and active use of the Librarys resources services and space; cultivating relationships/partnerships within and outside the university; and facilitating the design of assessment strategies and activities including needs assessments and iterative assessment for continuous improvement of Library. Duties also includepublicizing/marketing library services programs and resources including managing the Librarys social media outlets and leading the Marketing & Outreach team; coordinating the Librarys presence at campus and community outreach events; serving as the liaison for Library assessment activities. This position requires facetoface interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
The Sue & Radcliffe Killam Library at Texas A&M International University(TAMIU) seeks a fulltime Outreach & Assessment Librarian at the Assistant Librarian rank to begin Spring is a growing university of over 8000 students located in LaredoTexas a vibrant bilingual & bicultural city.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold aearned Masters degree in Library Science or equivalent degree from an American Library Association (ALA)accredited institution. Candidates nearing degree completion will also be considered but must have earned the Masters degree before appointment. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to develop and grow collaborative partnerships and demonstrate potential for advancement in rank. We strongly encourage candidates with a strong desire to serve firstgeneration students; experience in an academic library setting; two years of related experience; experience supervising student workers; experience managing a team; experience developing multimedia marketing campaigns; experience generating increased engagement with Library services and collections; and experience with using applied qualitative and quantitative assessment methods.

Financial support for professional development opportunities such as attending academic conferences is also provided. Moving expenses are covered in whole or in part by the university.
