Position Description: The Mechanical Engineering Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daytoday activities of a Product Development engineering team. This position involves providing technical guidance managing projects and ensuring the successful of engineering tasks. The Mechanical Engineering Supervisor plays a pivotal role in supporting team members driving project completion and contributing to the overall success of the Product Development department. Duties/ Responsibilities: Supervising the design of new and improved products utilizing industry and company standards Training new team members using department procedures and standards. Leading development teams to include task assignment performance evaluation and professional development. Approve ECOs DEVs and ECN created by team members using department procedures and checklists. Check drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to department drawing standards. Collaborate with other department managers to level load all team members with respect to the active project needs. Assist in interviewing hiring and training of student Coops Required Skills/ Abilities: Proficiency in SolidWorks Arena & Netsuite Ability to lead project teams Ability to manage multiple projects Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field 57 years of related experience preferably 35 years in the material handling industry Work Environment: This is primarily a deskbased role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly deskbased mobility within the office manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues. Physical Requirements: Required to stand walk and sit; talk and hear both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment.
