Job Description
Maaqtusiis Secondary School in Ahousaht is looking for a High School teacher to join our team in a pristine village on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island. As our school moves to the next level we are looking for enthusiastic candidates who:
- are certified to teach in BC
- can teach Math 810
- believes that all students can learn to high levels
- are energetic and optimistic and can bring new course options to our school
- are student and learningfocused in an action/solutionoriented school
- are ready and able to work with and differentiate for students of different ability levels in the same classroom
- are flexible and adaptable in meeting students needs
- have some knowledge of Ahousaht Culture
- recognizes the importance of building relationships in improving learning
- preferably has classroom experience
- Salary is based on SD70 Pay grid
