This position is for theschool year and is a part of our Special Education Department housed at Osage Trail Middle School. Salary is based on the adopted salary schedule for the 2425 school year at this time (starting salary $44200. We accept all previous years in certificated teaching roles as steps on the salary schedule. Process Coordinators have four extra days built into the contracts.
Valid Missouri certification in one area of special education required.
Special education teaching experience required.
A minimum of aBachelors Degree required; Masters Degree is preferred.

Purpose
The job of Process Coordinator is done for the purpose/s of supporting the instructional program withspecific responsibilities for coordinating special education services; ensuring special educationservices and documents are in compliance; monitoring related activities; maintaining services withinestablished guidelines and standards; and providing information to others.
This job reports to the Principal and Executive Director Student Support Services
Essential Functions
- Administers and/or assists in administration of standardized testing for the purpose of evaluatingstudents ability and causes deficiency/strength for program planning.
- Assists in the scheduling of special education students classes for the purpose of enhancingstudent success.
- Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and professional development workshops ( Education Process Coordinator meetings conferences trainings etc. for the purpose ofconveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Collaborates with a variety of group and/or individuals (e.g. teachers principals District personnelInstructional Facilitators Director of Student Support Services etc. for the purpose ofimplementing maintaining services and practicing compliance with established guidelines.
- Coordinates Special Education personnel and services (e.g. outside contractual schools testing forSpecial Education students scheduling Special Education paraprofessional etc. for the purposeof delivering services in compliance with established guidelines.
- Facilitates special education processes (e.g. WEB Referrals teacher or parent referrals teacherinput forms evaluation teams etc. for the purpose of implementing and maintaining serviceswhich achieve the districts desired objectives.
- Facilitates meetings workshops (e.g. professional development special education meetings etc.)for the purpose of identifying issues developing recommendations and supporting staff.
- Maintains a variety of confidential and nonconfidential manual and electronic files and/or records(e.g. Special Education documents data etc. for the purpose of providing uptodate referenceand complying with local state and ferderal requirements and established guidelines.
- Monitors educational timelines and records (e.g. IEP initiation dates reevaluation referral timelines student assessment accommodations etc. for the purpose of ensuring compliance withestablished legal and/or administrative requirements.
- Monitors and reviews Special Education files (e.g. IEP Evaluation reports notices etc. for thepurpose of having accurate professional records and ensuring compliance with District state andfederal requirements.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of materials and documents in collaboration with staff studentsand parents (e.g. informational packets for parents/or guardians student folders screening formsinput forms evaluation reports etc. for the purpose of documenting activities providing writtenreferenced and/or conveying information.
- Presents information on a variety of special education topics for the purpose of communicatinginformation and/or gaining feedback.
- Researches a variety of topics (e.g. current practices policies procedures etc. for the purpose ofproviding information and/or recommendations and/or addressing a variety of program
- Responds to inquires from a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of resolvingissues providing information and/or direction.
- Serves as a LEA at evaluation and IEP meetings for the purpose of providing and/or gatheringinformation.
- Supports staff for the purpose of providing information and assistance with special education
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; directing
other persons within a small work unit; monitoring budget expenditures. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the jobs functions. There is some opportunity to effect the organizations services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional
lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling significant stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling and significant fine
finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 20 sitting 40 walking and 40 standing. The job is performed in a
generally hazard free environment and in a clean atmosphere.
