Location: Milford Haven Home for Special Care
Title: Continuing Care Assistant (CCA)
Salary: $18$22 per hour
Wages based on the CUPE contract
Schedule: FT and PT available
What youll do
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal hygiene oral care skin care toileting bathing feeding dressing and grooming to residents
- Encourage and assist in maintaining the autonomy of residents whenever possible
- Maintain confidentiality concerning residents staff and organizational information
- Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Maintain a safe and clean environment adhering to facility infection control policies
- Record keeping updating and maintaining resident charts and reporting any changes in a residents condition
What youll need
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Standard FirstAid and CPR certification
- Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program
- Effective communication both written and verbal in English
- Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
- Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record
- Registered with the CCA Registry
- Previous experience working in geriatrics is an asset
