Job Description
Are you passionate about working with young children and supporting their growth in a nurturing engaging environment Our early childhood program is seeking a Toddler Assistant Teacher to collaborate with our teaching team in fostering curiosity exploration and meaningful learning experiences. This fulltime yearround position is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a playbased inquirydriven setting and values strong relationships with children families and colleagues.
As a Toddler Assistant Teacher you will:
- Support the Master Teacher and Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities.
- Supervise and interact with toddlers during indoor and outdoor play mealtime naptime and daily routines.
- Foster childrens social and emotional development by modeling positive behavior providing encouragement and supporting conflict resolution.
- Assist with classroom management by helping facilitate transitions and maintaining a warm structured environment.
- Help create a clean safe and organized classroom by following health and safety protocols sanitizing toys and organizing materials.
- Build strong supportive relationships with families by communicating regularly about childrens activities and progress.
- Provide support across multiple classrooms as needed including lunch breaks planning time and closing the Center each day.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills and meet licensing requirements.
- Follow all school policies and state regulations to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children.

- Someone with a basic understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education
- A teacher who values playbased inquirydriven learning and is eager to grow professionally
Someone who is organized dependable and able to take direction while also working independently
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Some coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Colorado Shines Credential Level Two (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience working with young children in an early learning setting
- Ability to maintain professionalism and work collaboratively in a team environment

The pay for this position is $21.90 $25.80/hour. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex gender or gender identity but relates solely to a seniority system a merit system or relevant education training and/or experience. Medical Dental Vision and Life Insurance benefit programs are available as is a 403(b) retirement plan. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document.
