Job Summary:

The Video Post Production Manager role is ideal for someone who thrives in both creative and technical environments. If youre a highly organized leader who can manage postproduction processes while solving technical challenges and ensuring toptier creative output this could be the role for you. Ruggables postproduction team needs a driven individual who can oversee the entire post workflowfrom server maintenance to balancing workloadswhile still collaborating on creative edits during peak times.

In this role youll be responsible for managing the postproduction infrastructure and ensuring all assets are delivered on time. Youll also work closely with the Senior Video Editors to implement workflow improvements and develop standard operating procedures to streamline the post process. Youll be expected to stay on top of the latest trends and tools ensuring our team is using the most uptodate techniques and software.

This role will allow you to flex both your technical and creative muscles managing technical resources and contractor relationships while also contributing to video editing during critical periods. Youll need to work independently as well as within a team balancing the needs of various departments and stakeholders.

What Youll Do:

• Manage team of video editors and daytoday video postproduction operations
• Lead reviews for noncampaign and nonpromo IGC and organic social to ensure highest quality standard
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to assign and balance postproduction workloads. Ensure capacity planning is sufficient to meet campaign deadlines
• Track and monitor deliverables to ensure they are completed on time
• Coordinate with other teams regarding deadlines and project needs
• Oversee server maintenance software troubleshooting and storage solutions (server and cloud)
• Hire and manage external vendors/contractors track invoices and budgets
• Work with the Senior Video Editors to identify and implement process improvements
• Evaluate the post infrastructure to ensure its uptodate and efficient
• Stay uptodate with the latest video trends on TikTok Meta and other platforms
• Lead training sessions on new software industry trends and advanced editing techniques
• Report weekly to Director on team performance expenses and infrastructure
• Develop contingency plans for technical issues (e.g. server crashes) to prevent delays
• Identify sustainable solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Step in to handle editing tasks when specific projects require immediate attention

What Youll Need to Have:

Required:

Technical Skills

• 3 years experience in postproduction management including server and software maintenance
• Expertise with Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects and other industrystandard software
• File management and storage solution experience (e.g. Frame cloudbased systems)
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience managing the video feedback loop (fully responsible for internal revisions ensuring highest quality prior to sending to stakeholders and ensuring that the stakeholder feedback is made actionable so that editors are accountable and continue to develop their skills based on what stakeholders want)
• This role is ideal for someone who consumes social media personally and professionally (TikTok Meta) this person needs to live and breathe in social

Creative Skills

• 10 years of video editing experience with a strong eye for detail
• Paid Social Samples on a portfolio you are able to share
• Familiarity with sourcing editing and managing video content from various platforms (YouTube Social Vimeo). Specifically we are looking for someone with a strong background editing paid social media ads.
• A keen sense of how to balance creative vision with technical constraints

Soft Skills

• Experience with editors as direct reports (fully responsible for managing their performance through 1:1s and reviews team efficiency and professional development). This person will have one senior editor and one midlevel editor as direct reports as well as a host of external contractors.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders
• Adaptable flexible and able to pivot quickly under tight deadlines

Preferred:

• Interest in interior design graphic design or fashion
• Experience with project management tools like Asana or Trello
• Familiarity with performance marketing and postproduction analytics tools

Compensation:

• Max $55/hr
