Senior Designers on the Experience Design team bring a usercentered design sensibility to KeyBanks client experiences. We are seeking an accomplished collaborative and mature UX design professional with wealth management expertise who excels at creating intuitive strategic designs and at forming and fostering productive trusted relationships.

Key Wealth supports clients across the continuum from affluent to ultrahigh net worth individuals families and others. In this role you will have accountability for the UX/UI design of complex highvisibility user flows and interactions for Key Private Bank Key Private Client Family Wealth and Key Institutional Services. You will be expected to champion design thinking while delivering an incomparable user experience and guiding product design activities that support the Wealth product team.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic design advocate who can confidently vocalize an informed relevant design perspective to design colleagues digital product and Line of Business partners and executive leadership. They will be as motivated by optimization and results as they are by design and user experiences. This is a critical role on our Experience Design team within the Client & Employee Experience group that enables Key to deliver exceptional experiences by aligning datadriven action to the needs of our current and future clients and teammates.

COMPETENCIES

  • No fewer than 5 years in the UX field with an emphasis on interaction design for web & mobile apps
  • Proven UX/UI experience in the wealth management space (Originations and Servicing)
  • Familiarity with Envestnet platform strongly preferred
  • Experience integrating lowcode platforms strongly preferred
  • A standout design portfolio representing your design philosophy problemsolving process and design outcomes
  • Product design leadership that elevates the quality and craft of design for both external customers and internal clients
  • Ability to lead the of all design interactions and user interface stages from concept to final handoff to engineering
  • Ability to articulate design processes and enable others to develop quality design solutions
  • Ability to create prototypes wireframes storyboards user flows process flows site maps and other design expressions that conceptualize and communicate design ideas experiences & interactions
  • Ability to facilitate user research and conduct analysis ideation and design review sessions
  • Proficiency in Figma software for design wireframing prototyping and collaboration
  • Experience working in an Agile development process
  • Ability to contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the Key Design System
  • Proficiency using Confluence/Jira Miro Monday and related tools
  • Ability to present designs and sell effective design solutions to various stakeholders
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Uptodate with the latest UX/UI trends techniques and technologies
  • Working knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with frontend developers and engineers
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with leadership and client stakeholders
  • Teamfirst approach that prioritizes the success of the design team over ones own ambitions
  • BSc in HumanComputer Interaction Interaction Design or related field

ACTIVITIES

  • Have primary accountability for all UX/UI design work for Key Wealth
  • Provide consistent product design guidance to the UX/UI resources (fulltime and contract) required to successfully execute against the established goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with Consumer Digital and UX Design Strategists Product Designers UX Writers Product Owners and Engineers to lead the definition and implementation of solutions for product direction and experience
  • Facilitate ideation sessions between diverse groups to properly frame complex problems
  • Consistently reinforce a usercentered design perspective to the team to ensure designs are relevant to both user needs and business objectives
  • Gather and effectively evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers and then translate into design deliverables
  • Participate in research activities and have the ability to conduct design validation such as usability testing
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of detailed product design documentation
  • Ensure that all UX work is anchored in Keys Design Thinking framework and curriculum
  • Ensure that designs adhere to established KeyBank and Key Wealth Brand Guidelines Style Guides and the Key Design System
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and address UX and interaction design problems
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are properly constructed tested and implemented
  • Advocate for Design Thinking Key Studio and CXEX principles across the organization

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $120000 to $130000 annually depending on location and jobrelated factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for shortterm incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.

Key has implemented a rolebased Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result this role may be Mobile or Homebased which means you may work primarily either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties.
