TheUniversity of Maryland Department of Anesthesiologyis growing. We are seeking BE/BC Anesthesiologists interested in joining the Division of Trauma Anesthesiology. Expected rank for these positions is Assistant Professor or higher; however rank and tenure status is dependent on candidates qualifications. Responsibilities include clinical care and teaching of fellows residents medical students student nurse anesthetists and paramedics. The Department offers competitive compensation excellent benefits and a generous retirement plan. Nonclinical time is available for academic scholarly and administrative activities.
Trauma AnesthesiologyAnesthesiologists in the Trauma Anesthesia Division care for patients in the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center of the University of Maryland Medical Center the nations busiest trauma hospital and a leading center worldwide for traumarelated research. Faculty members are engaged in assessment and resuscitation of trauma patients including critical care and acute pain management. Candidates must be ABA certified (or eligible). Qualified Candidates with fellowship training in Trauma Critical Care or Cardiac Anesthesia are preferred.
Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher however final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidates experience.

Salary Range Base Compensation Clinical Faculty w/ MD Degree
*The referenced salary range reflects base pay which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Department of Anesthesiology faculty compensation program or pay from participation in Department of Anesthesiology incentive compensation programs. Therefore the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information please contact the hiring department.
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicines good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidates geographic location skills work experience internal equity market conditions education/training and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
