Project Development Manager Solar & BESS
Leap29 have a position available on behalf of an IPP company who are backed by a leading global investor for Project Development Manager for Solar & BESS. Our client have activities across UK and Globally.
The position will also have a focus on managing interconnection agreements and interacting with DNO and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of solar and BESS projects from inception to completion.
Manage and negotiate interconnection agreements with UK DNO and local authorities
Conduct site assessments secure land and feasibility studies.
Coordinate with internal teams external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Oversee permitting and regulatory compliance.
Develop project schedules budgets and risk management plans.
Support the technical design and engineering team.
Monitor market trends and emerging technologies in solar and BESS.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Business or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development.
Proven track record in managing interconnection agreements within the UK market.
Strong knowledge of UK electrical grid infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
