About the Role
We are seeking a creative and dynamic Video Production Lead (Education & Product Content) to drive the creation of compelling video content that educates engages and inspires. This role requires a blend of creative vision strong craft strong leadership collaborative spirit and handson production skills.
You will oversee and handson contribute to the development of educational and productfocused videos for external social media internal training external partner training and public audiences. The types of videos you will be responsible for producing include live action interviews full screen animations (with and without vendor support) and live action/animation hybrid videos. The content will cover topics related to artificial intelligence quantum technologies and the interface between these cuttingedge fields.
Youll focus your strong creative narrativebuilding and storytelling skills to a wide constellation of video projects ensuring continuity across varied video types. A successful Video Production Lead will develop a strong pointofview for approaching video production but will also be adept at bringing in stakeholder needs and opinions and executing in a way that creates a win for all those involved. Throughout the entirety of your teams work youll maintain a high bar for quality and creativity.
This is a highly collaborative role youll work closely with our marketing and technical teams to produce a wide variety of video content in several formats and styles for several different audiences. This is also an executionoriented role SandboxAQ is a fastmoving startup and projects often materialize with little notice on tight turnaround times. Youll also have access to a wide range of resources and have the freedom to develop production pipelines to efficiently execute your creative vision.
What Youll Do
- Lead the endtoend video production process from concept development to final delivery
- Develop creative concepts and storylines that align with our brand and educational goals
- Work with subject matter experts to develop scripts and other video assets
- Manage a small video production team providing guidance mentorship and performance feedback
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and freelancers ensuring highquality output and adherence to timelines
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand content needs and translate them into effective video strategies
- Direct onset production when needed and step into handson roles (shooting editing etc. as required
- Ensure consistency in style tone and quality across all video content
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience in video production with a strong portfolio showcasing educational and productrelated content
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for bringing complex concepts to a broad audience while maintaining accuracy
- Demonstrated creative leadership with the ability to guide a team from ideation through
- Experience operating solo and managing a small video production team
- Experience in endtoend video production (from initial ideation and scriptwriting through production and postproduction)
- Proficiency in video production tools and software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects Final Cut Pro)
- A passion for science and/or education
- Experience working with external vendors and managing production budgets
Nice to Haves
- Experience with visual and graphic design graphics development typography color and visual theories
- Experience in both educational content creation and product marketing videos
- Background in instructional design or training content development
- Skills in motion graphics animation or advanced postproduction techniques
Portfolio will be required upon application
- A portfolio demonstrating your passion and high design craft for clear engaging and informative videos. Work examples should demonstrate:

- Ability to work in a crossfunctional team

The US base salary range for this fulltime position is expected to be $154k $220k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range individual pay is determined by factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
