Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive individual to support the Shore Modernization team at NAVWAR HQ in San Diego CA. This position will contribute to the transformation of shore sites and help develop shape and work alongside key stakeholders to align shore sites with the ship modernization process. As a key member of the team you will assist in the evolution of the Shore Platform Manager (SPM) office and support the development of new processes and policies. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the direction of a growing program and make a lasting impact on the modernization process.


Key Responsibilities:


Support the Shore Platform Manager (SPM) Office:

oOperate within the C3 Shore chain of command and directly support the C3 Shore Modernization APMs and Technical Assessment Team (TAT) through robust stakeholder management for the entire Ship Change Document process.

oAssist in transitioning shore installs to follow the ship modernization process and provide recommendations to stakeholders and leadership to influence change.

Platform Readiness Review (PRR) Support:

oParticipate in PRRs for PEO C4I products analyzing and validating installation maturity elements to ensure readiness at A0.

oSupport the ongoing PRR process as it evolves to replace the FRCB process for PEO C4I installs.

Ship Change Document (SCD) Modernization:

oCollaborate on integrating SCDs into the shore modernization process ensuring that installations meet key maturity milestones.

oWork with the team to monitor and evaluate the progress of shore installs as they mature through the SCD lifecycle.

Process Improvement and Development:

oHelp refine and enhance modernization processes using the afloat world as a template to streamline and improve current practices.

oWork closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements while adhering to government constraints.

Collaboration and Support:

oProvide direct support to Assistant Program Managers (APMs) and TAT team members ensuring alignment with key milestones and goals.

oSupport the SPM team in delivering highquality results and achieving the overall modernization goals.

oBe an active participant in the in understanding the shore modernization pillar goals and be prepared to recommend improvements to Modernization pillar leadership.

OnSite Presence:

oThis position requires being onsite at least two days per week to facilitate collaboration and ensure smooth coordination of activities with the team.

oThis position requires the individual to be highly communicative and comfortable meeting and presenting to key stakeholders and leadership.


Requirements

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of Navy experience (ideally within the NAVWAR or C4I environment)

3 years experience in moving Ship Change Documents (SCDs) through the afloat process or experience in baseline management.

A strong understanding of the general modernization process with the ability to apply that knowledge to shore sites.

Detailoriented with a focus on process flow management and efficiency.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and leadership.

Critical thinking skills with the ability to contribute to policy and process improvements.

Ability to work in a dynamic evolving environment and help shape the future direction of the modernization program.

Must be comfortable with a flexible work schedule including being onsite at least two days per week.

Active Secret Clearance required.



Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with the FRCB process and/or PEO C4I products.

Prior experience in managing platform readiness and installations.

Experience working in a detailed processoriented role with direct oversight and involvement from senior leadership.

The projected compensation range for this position is $.
