Job Description

The University of Michigans Department of Political Science invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure track position for a scholar who studies World Politics/International Relations.

This position is at the assistant professor rank and is a university year appointment. It is anticipated to begin August 25 2025. Promise of excellence in research and teaching is required.

Applicants should include the following applications materials in PDF format: a cover letter curriculum vitae a concise statement describing current and future plans for research a statement of teaching philosophy and experience evidence of teaching excellence (if any) writing samples graduate transcripts and a statement of activities contributing to diversity equity and inclusion in academia.
