Job Description
As a Senior Accountant you will oversee a portfolio of Australian clients while supervising junior team members managing compliance and tax reporting and ensuring financial accuracy. You ll play a key role in maintaining high service standards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Your Daily Tasks
- Complete financial and management accounting taxation and advisory services.
- Prepare and lodge BAS manage bookkeeping and create interim financial accounts.
- Review junior team members work for accuracy and compliance.
- Educate clients on record maintenance to streamline workflows.
- Maintain accounting working papers aligned with firm standards.
- Support directors and managers on workflows and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure timely workflow tracking including budgets and timesheets.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Meet budgeted production targets and internal benchmarks.
- Participate in team meetings culture initiatives and firm projects.
- Maintain database integrity and workplace organization.
Client Management:
- Manage a small portfolio of clients according to service standards.
- Foster strong client relationships and seek ways to add value.
- Handle client billing workflow inquiries and complaints.
- Identify crossservice opportunities within the firm.
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- Xero Certified.
- Over 3 years of experience in Australian tax returns for Companies and Trusts.
- Strong knowledge of Tax Law (Income Tax GST FBT Superannuation Employment Taxes Stamp Duty).
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Experience training and supervising junior staff.
- Selfmotivated proactive and confident in client interactions.
- Familiar with firm systems and Australian business practices.
