Job Description
Nature and Scope
RHC Patient Access Representative provides customerservice coverage in the front office of Plumas Rural Health Centers and the offices of Greenville and assumes the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor this position performs imperative duties including but not limited to registration insurance verification telephone coverage data entry documentation and pointofservice collections while maintaining patient relations customer satisfaction and Plumas District Hospitals financial solvency.

- We are located 1065 Bucks Lake Rd Quincy CA 95971
- You may be asked to travel to the Greenville Clinic.
Compensation
Compensation Philosophy:
- We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 6 years of relevant experience
Compensation Range:
- $19.16 $24.46 / hour

Qualifications
Prefered Experience:
- Two 2 years experience in health care environment.
- At least one 1 to three 3 years of customer service.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Data entry and the ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute Microsoft Excel/Word and good mathematical reading and writing skills.
- Superb customer service teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Efficient time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Strong understanding and comfort level with computer systems.
Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum
Responsibilities
- Promptly fields and/or directs incoming calls responds to patient and/or staff inquiries and initiates patient triage when necessary
- Completely and accurately documents all patient interactions (phone calls etc) in the patients electronic medical record including callers name patients name if different from caller call back phone number and a brief message explaining the reason for the call.
- Ensures all registration and admission forms are ready for patients to complete upon arrival for service.
- Practices proficient customerservice skills by greeting and treating all patients and staff with respect and discretion.
- Gathers and verifies all appropriate confidential health and financial information from patients while using various computer software tools to assure payment for all authorized services.

Child Care:
- PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm Monday through Friday and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. After submitting your application our Child Care Director will get in touch with you about your acceptance into the program. Once approved we will start the enrollment process.
