Job Description:
Job Duties:
*Researches develops and presents highly complex adult learning opportunities involving multiple factors such as interpretation and application of complex federal/state regulations/legislation.
*Collaborates and coordinates development presentation and evaluation of training with management/program officials to assess achievement.
*Utilizes advanced instructional development skills (such as distance learning or computerbased training) alternative learning methodology (such as selfstudy modules) interactive learning approaches methods or techniques.
*Meets with key facility/division managers to develop and review training needs. Coordinates training and performance assessment planning implementation testing and evaluation of educational activities.
*Tracks program costs provides budget costing and justifies expenditures; maintains inventory of training materials supplies and equipment.
Starting Hourly Pay Rate is $23.140
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Four years experience and/or training in planning and presenting information and/or education to others through formal training workshops seminars or other instructional venues including experience developing training programs or curriculum. Bachelors degree in education human resources organization communication training and development or related field may be substituted for experience.
Other: Background check will be required. Must have a valid state drivers license.
Incumbents in this position after a successful probationary period are assigned as an Agency Watch Officer on a rotational basis. When serving as Watch Officer incumbent must be available in the event of an emergency on a 24hour basis for a seven day period. Additionally incumbent must be able to report to the NEMA office within a timely manner and be available to travel away from home for up to two weeks at a time. Normal overnight travel up to 1015 of work schedule including being available to provide training weeknights weekends and holidays as necessary.
Knowledge of adult training and development; curriculum develop and training evaluation techniques.
Skill in presenting educational materials through various methods.
Ability to coordinate people and projects to meet time and cost objectives.
