Checkout is part of the Purchase Experience organization whose mission is to offer the most trusted and delightfully easy purchase experience on Earth. We offer the touchpoints that empower customers to collect and manage the items they intend to buy; provide the critical order details that enable them to make informed purchase decisions; surface contextual product and programrelated benefits/recommendations to help them basket build and deepen their relationship with Amazon. Our team of builders owns the software systems and processes that enable 300 teams to innovate on behalf of our customers each year in the final stages of a customers shopping journey.
Key job responsibilities
You will drive Checkouts strategy to build and scale our modernized Checkout experiences to new use cases surfaces and customers across the world. You will identify and influence the prioritization of innovative scalable solutions to enable Checkout to more effectively meet the unique needs of customers in emerging marketplaces and those that are new to or less familiar with shopping on Amazon. You will have the opportunity to work closely and collaborate with software development managers engineers product managers UX designers and business intelligence engineers to innovate measure analyze and refine the experiences we deliver to millions of customers across the planet on a daily basis. You will work closely within closeknit Checkout 2pizza teams but also partner teams to identify and prioritize needs influence up and across the organization and synthesize a variety of technologies and capabilities to deliver the most trustworthy and delightful shopping experiences customers love.
Successful candidates will have experience working in a high pace environment have strong bias for action and be comfortable in working in an ambiguous environment. To be successful youll need customer obsession the ability to think big excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to deliver results via a strong bias for action.
A day in the life
You will have the opportunity to further developer communication skills both written and verbal to influence and work with senior management. You will work crossfunctionally with UX Product and engineering teams to drive experiences across all devices (desktop mobile app etc. and in all geographies. As a member of one of Amazons most critical customerfacing teams you will have the opportunity to build relationships and collaborate with the hundreds of partner teams that innovate across Checkout in a given year gaining rare insight to Amazonwide strategic initiatives and priorities.

5 years of technical product or program management experience
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
