Job Description
Amazon continues to invent with AI to build worldclass products services and experiences across every part of its business. We are seeking a highjudgment communications professional to join our team. As Senior PR Manager youll develop and execute communications programs for Amazons AGI organization; the team recently launched a new generation of stateoftheart foundation models Amazon Nova. In this role youll establish strategic narratives for proactive storytelling and manage a team across executive communications internal communications media relations and social and influencer communications. Youll also serve as a key advisor to Amazons senior AGI leaders in making strategic communications and business decisions often in very short timeframes.
This is your role if you feel comfortable diving deep you are highly inquisitive and motivated by a dynamic fastpaced culture where we are establishing best practices and taking smart risks. You will also have a deep understanding of generative AI topics and trends be eager to cultivate fresh story ideas possess excellent writing skills and be adept at translating complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories.
The ideal candidate will be able to earn trust and establish strong rapport with senior business leaders scientists and communications colleagues across Amazon and AWS. The candidate will also have experience building programs; working across diverse businesses and teams; have a strong understanding of how to leverage earned owned paid and social media to scale impact; and have experience working to high standards. Being flexible in managing ambiguity as priorities change and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with detailed will be essential.
About the team
This role is part of the crosscompany AI Communications team within Amazons Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) team.
10 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
Bachelors degree
Proven track record of strategic planning and delivery on significant storytelling campaigns tied to measurable business brand and/or communications goals.
Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow timeframes
Selfdriven entrepreneurial spiritenjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
Knowledgeable about digital communications and content trends and able to apply these insights to their work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $246800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
