Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS) is a faithbased educational community dedicated to providing Catholic education. With 21 schools RDCRS offers exceptional teaching and learning opportunities for students from PreKindergarten to Grade 12. The Director of Early Learning is the team lead for the SpeechLanguage team.
At RDCRS staff strive to make Christ known to students while supporting them in reaching their full potential. The division serves the city of Red Deer and surrounding rural areas including Rocky Mountain House Sylvan Lake Blackfalds Innisfail and Olds. RDCRS employs approximately 1200 staff membersfulltime parttime and casualwho collectively provide highquality education to about 10500 students.
This employment opportunity is full time working MondayFriday and following the school would be eligible for

- Mentorship with senior SLP if applicable
- Provide speech language therapy intervention within the context of typical classroom activities;
- Supervise and work collaboratively with speech and language pathology assistants
- PreKindergarten assessments for children registered in Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools PreKindergarten programs;
- Liaise closely with teachers educational and therapeutic assistants therapists social workers specialists and parents who participate as part of each childs program planning team;
- Complete assessment and treatment reports (yearend summaries etc. to share with parents and professionals within and outside of the Red Deer Catholic Regional School System;
- Support students with complex communication needs in PreKindergarten through 12;
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including; Occupational Therapists Behavioral Specialists Psychologist;
- Provide professional development to teachers and educational assistants when applicable.
