Job Description
- PUBLIC LAND CORPS CIVIL AND FOREST ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN INTERNStudent WorkerThe position ofPublic Land Corps Civil and Forest Engineering Technician InternisOpen Until Filledso we can find the ideal candidates for our amazing team. There are two vacancies for this position. This position is grantfunded temporary and requires working outdoors between the months of May and September.
As a Student Workerin the position ofPublic Land Corps Civil and Forest Engineering Technician Internyou will partner with the Umpqua National Forest to provide technical support for a wide variety of projects in timber management restoration transportation recreation and facilities. The intern will work with the Engineering group at the Umpqua National Forest on transportation and facilities projects. The Umpqua has developed a training plan to introduce interns to various aspects of civil engineering disciplines to provide a diverse experience.

Rate GS 41: $17.27- Housing and Living Allowance: $4500
- Boot Reimbursement: $450 Maximum
- Education/Training Reimbursement: $650 Maximum
PUBLIC LAND CORPS (PLC) CAREER PATHWAY:
- Students that satisfactorily complete 640 hours of intern work through the PLC program can qualify to apply as an internal candidate for positions at the US Forest Service.
QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:- UCC Student: Minimum of 6 credits at UCC in quarter either prior to or during internship. Educational reimbursement covers tuition and fees for 6 credits of Cooperative Work Experience.
- Educational Pathway: Desire educational emphasis in Engineering Technology Engineering Forest Engineering Surveying or related field.
- Oregon Drivers License: Drivers license required unless medical condition prevents licensing.
