POSITION SUMMARY
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional nonpartisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Office of the Sergeant at Arms is seeking a proactive strategic and analytical individual for the regular fulltime position of Strategic Intelligence Advisor.
Reporting to the Director Office of the Sergeant at Arms with guidance and direction from the SergeantatArms the Strategic Intelligence Advisor supports the departments security and operational goals through intelligencedriven analysis. This role provides expertise in strategic intelligence geopolitical monitoring data interpretation and key performance indicators (KPIs) offering recommendations to strengthen security operations decisionmaking and resource allocation.
Strategic intelligence in this context involves identifying potential threats analyzing operational vulnerabilities and providing actionable insights to inform security strategies risk mitigation efforts and longterm planning for the Legislative Assembly. Geopolitical monitoring enhances situational awareness by analyzing international and domestic events that could impact the Assemblys operations or security posture.
