The University of Oregons Mathematics Department invites applications for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor position to begin in fall 2024. Competitive applicants will have a record of research excellence a demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching and a commitment to promoting an inclusive community. We are particularly interested in growing our analysis group but we are open to hiring someone in any area of mathematics.
We are a diverse and growing department with strengths in Algebraic Geometry Analysis Combinatorics Differential Geometry Mathematical Biology Number Theory Representation Theory Topology and Probability. The department has a thriving Ph.D. program with approximately 65 graduate students 32 tenured and tenuretrack faculty 8 postdocs and 15 lecturers. We particularly welcome applications from scholars who are from populations historically underrepresented in the academy and/or who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Ph.D. in Mathematics Statistics or a closely related field
One year of postdoctoral work.
