The Operations and Mission Analysis Southwest (OMASW) department performs customer focused mission modeling and simulation and analysis activities for all customer areas at teams develop analyze and grade flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas (sensors effectors command and control logistics and operations) developing tools and methods to evaluate campaign mission and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer department has a tradition of excellence through innovation and teamwork while championing individual diversity in a flexible work environment to meet the needs of todays workforce.

What You Will Do

  • The ExoAtmospheric Rapid and Radiation Analysis Manager will join our OMASW Department that supports multiple IRADs CR&Ds and programs in Air and Space domains Land and Air Defense and Naval Power.
  • You will have opportunities to use a wholistic mindset coupled with your engineering skills to develop and visualize solutions in support of OMASW projects as an individual contributor.
  • You will use modeling and simulation to perform evaluations of endtoend system needs to discover system interfaces and data connectivity requirements across the killchain (e.g. ensuring sensors can talk to shooters).
  • You will work on the modeling and simulation of system and mission chains (e.g. intercepting a threatening ballistic missile) with tools such as Government Commercial and Raytheon simulations (e.g. AFSIM STK).
  • You will lead the implementation of algorithms to provide nextgeneration performance across the entire system of systems.
  • In your section leader role you will be responsible for leading a team of 815 Engineers focused on the development and integration of variablefidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments. In additions to diverse modeling and simulation skills this section has expertise in analysis of atmospheric radiation upon systems operating in the atmosphere and expertise in software containerization.
  • You will work with the team to generate virtual and/or analytical solutions to identify technology gaps demonstrate the operational benefits of new mission concepts (e.g. MannedUnmanned Teaming) in complex operational scenarios develop requirements test systems and train operators.
  • You will be accountable for the of work and delivery of products from your section
  • The Section Manager is responsible for direct line management activities for the team including performance development and appraisal (including salary planning) career development staffing allocation and ensuring your team has the resources needed to perform their work and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment.
  • You will be responsible for the flow of communications between your section and Raytheon management flowing communications down to your team and providing status and reports up to Raytheon management.

What You Will Learn

  • You will learn how to develop analyze and grade flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas (sensors effectors command and control logistics and operations) developing tools and methods to evaluate campaign mission and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements.
  • You will get hands on systemofsystems solutions for OA/SW to include threat definitions and environments and competitive systems analysis.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with CONOPS development Mission and Campaign Modeling Battle Space Command & Control simulation or Threat Assessment & Modeling.
  • Experience with Numerical Optimization Techniques Analysis of Alternatives or Design of Experiments.
  • Experience with Military Operations Analysis
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Team leadership skills
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Raytheon owned Modeling and Simulation tools (e.g. OpsTool or RCADE) or Government/Industry Modeling and Simulation tools (e.g. AFSIM OneSAF ESAMS Brawler).
  • An advanced degree in Engineering Science Mathematics or related discipline.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of sensing systems and effectors.
  • Experience with software containerization
  • Experience with Statistical analysis Data Analytics
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance

Location: This position is for an onsite role in Tucson Arizona: salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
