We invite applications for a 9month Limited Term Appointment position 8month teaching contract with a 4week paid preparatory period) at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will join the 11member Department of Chemistry which offers nationally accredited Major and Honours degrees .. Undergraduate students are actively involved in faculty research and graduate students are enrolled in the Applied Science Program at both the . and Ph.D. levels.
The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate General Chemistry I II labs and instruct a combination of General Chemistry I II lectures and labs and/or any other lectures or labs that may fit the successful candidates expertise. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an active role in the administrative life of the Department of Chemistry the Faculty of Science and the University in general.

As Lecturer or Assistant Professor the successful applicant will:
- Have a strong desire to help create excellent student learning experiences through curriculum development and delivery of undergraduate teaching primarily in the areas of general chemistry
- Have opportunities to contribute to administrative service activities within the Department the Faculty of Science and the University
Experience and Education Requirements
To be the successful applicant you will have:
- An . or Ph.D. in Chemistry (or a closely related field).
- A demonstrated commitment to excellence in university teaching.
- Evidence of scholarship in teaching and learning and other research areas is an asset
