Responsibilities:
CRITERIA: Must be classified degreeseeking student in a Masters program under the UHM Office of Graduate Education; be a Graduate School student enrolled in at least six 6 credit hours per semester at the University of Hawaii Manoa. Note: International students must take 8 or more credits (fulltime) which is a requirement to have a I20; maintain the requirements of a Graduate School student including Grade Point Average requirements; and be in good academic standing.
BENEFITS: A Graduate Student Assistant may receive tuition up to 9 credits hours per semester maximum based on the University of Hawaii at Manoa General Graduate School rate or 100 Percent 100 of the individuals tuition cost (whichever is less) plus general fees. Business nursing dental hygiene architecture law and engineering tuition and fees along with any other tuition and fees that are not classified within the general tuition and fees will not be covered. Tuition does not include payment for Outreach College extension courses. GSA will be responsible for payment to Outreach College. GSA will receive a monthly stipend for room and board for 11 months (July through May). The Department will pay for GSAs required books (up to 9 credit hours). All benefits will be prorated should the approval and clearance be after July 1 2025. Appointment renewable upon satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
Individual Associated with a Prospective StudentAthlete Football and Basketball. An individual associated with a prospective studentathlete is any person who maintains (or directs others to maintain) contact with prospective studentathlete the prospective studentathletes relatives or legal guardians or coaches at any point during the prospective studentathletes participation in football and/or basketball and whose contact is directly or indirectly related to either the prospective studentathletes athletic skills and abilities or the prospective studentathletes recruitment by or enrollment in an NCAA institution. This definition includes but is not limited to parents legal guardians handlers personal trainers and coaches. An individual who meets this definition retains such status during the enrollment of the prospective studentathlete at the institution.
