We re looking for a highly skilled Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to be part of a cuttingedge utility infrastructure supporting a state of the art automotive manufacturing complex. This is a critical handson role at our newly constructed Central Utility Plant ideal for professionals with deep experience in power generation industrial controls and electrical systems who want to contribute to a forwardthinking highperformance team.
You will install maintain test and troubleshoot a wide range of plant systems including instrumentation control systems and both low and mediumvoltage electrical systems. CWE has openings for strong E&I Commissioning Technicians for a very significant and important contract opportunity. Candidates must have proven record of excellence in their technical proficiency and ability to support a dynamic team with a mandate to solve issues for our client.
We are seeking experienced I&C Technicians with 4 plus years of hands on field experience who can read schematics and wiring diagrams DCS Loops follow procedures and perform functional testing MCC Starters and control circuits. Scope of Work Includes
Electrical Instrumentation with some Control System Checkout required
MCC & Switchgear Checkout
Loop Checks (Electrical Instrumentation to DCS)
Troubleshooting skills are a must.
Documentation of all work completed
This is a field technician position in a startup and commissioning environment.
All Technician Candidates must be cross trained in Electrical I&C and be familiar with DCS checkout.
Must be selfmotivated.
Must have:
5 Years of Commissioning Experience I&C Testing Metrology Gas Turbine Maintenance Plant Maintenance or similar roles in a heavy industrial environment.
Ability to work with diverse personnel and equipment.
Ability to work in team environment.
Strong attention to detail documentation and project experience.
Desired:
Experience working overseas for extended periods of time.
Fossil Power Plant Commissioning Experience
This is NOT an office position. You will be expected to work in the field solving issues for @ 80 of the time in order to execute the work. The remaining 20 will be handling documentation RFI support and other needs of the project. You will be responsible for ensuring CWE s client receives top quality commissioning support as well as act on behalf of CWE.

Support Plant Operations at their Central Utility Plant which consists of new equipment including:
2 7.8 MW Solar Taurus 70 gas turbine generators and HRSGs with duct burners and fresh air firing
10 3350ton electric centrifugal chillers
5 2245ton heating/cooling chillers with a 10MM gallon thermal storage tank
A 14cell 153000 GPM cooling tower
Steamtohotwater heat exchangers deaerators economizers and related systems
Extensive electrical infrastructure 25/5 kV 480V 125VDC) PLCs MCCs and more
Maintain calibrate and troubleshoot control systems electrical systems and plant instrumentation
Perform preventative predictive and corrective maintenance across all systems
Support plant operations by managing DC backup power PLCs emissions controls and more
Use CMMS to document work track materials and ensure maintenance records are current
Participate in project work read and interpret schematics and support part procurement
Lead and train team members on instrumentation and electrical systems
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) and switching operations per company policies
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Motivated and desire to take on challenges and create opportunities.
High school diploma or GED required
Several years of relevant experience in a power plant or industrial utility environment. Commissioning Turnaround and project experience a plus.
Strong understanding of gas turbines HRSGs MCCs chillers water treatment and electrical distribution
Experience with Rockwell Allen Bradley PLCs and CMMS systems
Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex instrumentation and electrical systems
Proficiency in using hand tools test equipment and Microsoft Office applications
Solid teamwork communication and documentation skills.
Experience developing and implementing calibration program for field devices and Measurement & Test Equipment.
Military Technical Schools (metrology electronics technicians avionics techs electricians gas turbine techs)
Operation and maintenance of combustion turbines HRSG boilers chillers and emissions control systems
Calibration of analytical instruments and configuring control interfaces
Familiarity with medium voltage switchgear generators and protective relays. documented NFPA 70E training a plus.
This role involves physical activity and occasional exposure to industrial environments. You should be able to:
Stand walk and climb frequently; stoop or crawl occasionally
Lift up to 35 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally
Work in loud environments and variable weather conditions
Use proper PPE and follow all site safety procedures
