Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic selfmotivated HSE Advisor who thrives in a fastpaced environment. The position is based in Brisbane Australia.
The primary purpose is to contribute to the HSE teams goals to influence positive attitudes and behaviours that foster a positive safety culture ensure continuous improvement and good corporate governance.
Key responsibilities:
Providing technical advice and coaching including safety leadership risk management HSE systems incident investigation inspection and monitoring training.
Conduct audits of project operations the HSE Management System and its implementation for compliance and continuous improvement.
Assist with the implementation of control measures to address HSE risk and ensure monitoring and reviews for effectiveness is undertaken.
Facilitate the communication and consultation of necessary HSE information/ lessons learned across all sites in the project.
Skills & Experience:
3 years experience in a highrisk industry; engineering / railway / construction
Diploma of Work Health and Safety
Ability to build HSE capability and safety leadership; managers employees and contractors
Ability to influence and drive safe behaviours and performance through building effective relationships and engagement
Demonstratable knowledge and experience of operating within ISO45001 ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems & AS/NZS is essential
Highly proficient computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs
Investigator Qualification
Agile mindset able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment
Demonstrates perseverance patience and commitment for long term success
