About the Role/You


Are you an exceptional communications professional who has experience partnering with stakeholders high attention to detail and strong strategic thinking skills

As the Communications Manager ARG you will play a leading role in managing and shaping bestpractice communications to RMITs students and staff on a range of topics central to the Universitys success.

Reporting into the Senior Communications Manager and sitting within the University Communications Student Experience team this role supports the communications needs of the Academic Registrars Group (ARG) the area of the University responsible for student administrative policy and integrity activities. This role will shape communications on a range on key studentlifecycle moments from enrolment to academic integrity and graduation.

Key to the success of the role will be an ability to communicate about strategic administrative topics effectively accurately and creatively to students staff and other audiences. You will be responsible for leading multichannel campaigns and projects.

As a key strategic advisor you will also partner with and provide guidance to stakeholders within the ARG and work with other areas of the University to develop integrated aligned and impactful communications that support the Universitys objectives.

Communications experience either in internal communications and/or external communications is essential.

To be successful in this position youll have experience in:

  • The strategic development of highly effective student consumer or membershipfocused communications

  • Communications planning delivery and measurement that support strategic organisational objectives

  • Working with new media and digital technology to improve communication outcomes

  • Leading and influencing organisational change and business improvement in a complex environment

  • Working with data and stakeholders to identify emerging and unmet needs and to develop solutions to meet those needs

  • Encouraging a workplace culture of high performance and promoting accountability for outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated passion for delivering creative and impactful communications to key audiences
