General Description and Classification Standards This is a fully seasoned professionallevel position requiring independent of assignments. The Senior IT Project Manager may handle the most complex projects involving coordination across multiple teams and systems. The position is typically filled by experienced project managers capable of making decisions on project requirements timelines resource allocation and ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget. Supervision received is minimal and responsibilities may extend to formal project management skill development and mentoring.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following are the primary responsibilities for this position and should not be considered exhaustive:
Project Coordination: Manage all aspects of large or complex IT projects such as network upgrades server and software implementations and PC deployments.
Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate the work of IT staff and internal stakeholders clearly defining project requirements and aligning resources across different teams.
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans setting timetables performance standards and milestones to ensure successful project delivery.
and Monitoring: Track project progress monitor the change control process and ensure timely resolution of any disruptions or delays.
Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently managing both internal and external teams to meet project deadlines.
Training & Documentation: Oversee the creation of technical documentation and provide training to staff as needed to ensure smooth project .
Quality Control & Testing: Ensure comprehensive testing of systems and processes before the final project implementation.
Budget Management: Ensure that all projects are delivered within budgetary constraints and with the expected quality standards.
Decision Making
Establish work methods performance standards and timetables for all project activities.
Independently make decisions regarding project requirements resource allocation and project priorities.
Leadership Provided
Mentor and guide other project managers and team members sharing expertise in project management practices.
Responsible for overseeing and supporting project teams ensuring they meet goals and deadlines.

Qualifications External Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science engineering business or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within IT or a related field including leadership roles on complex IT projects.
Preferred Education & Experience
Education: Masters degree in computer science engineering business or a related field (equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a masters degree).
Experience: 58 years of experience in IT project management including a demonstrated ability to lead large and complex projects.
Licensures and Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
