Job Description
POSITION DETAILS:
- Role: Special Education Paraprofessional
- Location:Watsonville CA 95076
- Age/Grades: PreK8th
- Caseload:1:1 or several students
- Hours: MondayFriday 67 hours daily with 30minute unpaid break
- Duration:Januarythrough June 13th2025 (flexible for shortterm coverage if needed)
- Compensation:based on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Behavioral Support
- Provide 1:1 or small group assistance to a student with behavioral challenges in a variety of educational settings.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as designed by the special education team.
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage appropriate behavior and deescalation techniques during challenging situations.
- Education:Associates Degree OR passage of ParaPro Assessment
- Experience:
- MUST have experience with students with behavioral needs
- Preference to Autism experience
- Preference to candidates with CPI training
