AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.

The Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) team manages energy supply contracts post their provides controllership for financial and operational performance and ensures our supply portfolio is compliant with external regulations contract obligations as well as internal policies. You will be a part of the team responsible for managing the energy portfolio of the worlds largest cloud provider and corporate buyer of renewables.
Our team is looking for an energy professional to invent new programs and mechanisms and scale them across the AWS energy supply portfolio. The right candidate has a track record for managing programs including planning launching and executing initiatives with excellence in operations. In addition this role will lead the management of contracts and operational activities for particular clusters and structures and will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the org to report analyze and improve performance of our energy portfolio. The right candidate can manage multiple projects simultaneously has an analytical skill set and experience managing contracts and building scalable programs.
Function Specific Work Activities:
Take a lead role in shaping and implement EPO programs (including onboarding contract management power settlements financial oversight and energy compliance) to meet the orgs goals and success metrics.
Plan and drive of initiatives to improve our energy operations. Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazons management of its energy portfolio.
Own an assigned portfolio of energy agreements and the operational activities associated with it in collaboration with EPO and the Power Infrastructure and Energy Strategy teams.
Establish mechanisms to create visibility into supply contracts pipeline in order to successfully manage the onboarding process for new contracts. Track progress and drive for successful ontime completion
Act as a subject matter expert on executed energy agreements in designated grids/markets and own the management of the contractual obligations with counterparties.
Report and analyze performance identifying impacts to our business units and our customers.
Work collaboratively with other Amazon teams to support the management of the energy programs.
Key job responsibilities
Own the assigned portfolio of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements.
Act as a subject matter expert on executed energy agreements in designated markets and own the management of the contractual obligations with counterparties.
Report and analyze performance in assigned portfolio identifying impacts to our business units and our customers.
Support the management of the onboarding process for new contracts with a large number of counterparties. Track progress and drive for successful completion.
Take part in shaping and implement the EPO programs (including contract management financial performance and energy compliance with external and internal stakeholders) to meet the orgs goals and success metrics.
Plan and drive of initiatives to improve our energy operations. Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazons management of its energy portfolio.

Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) required
7 years working in utility/energy industry in North America in asset/contract management settlements market operations or similar role
5 years in managing crossfunctional projects initiatives and teams
Masters Degree (MBA/MS) preferred
Experience in supplier management contract management or managing commercial relationships with vendors or customers
Experience managing large datasets and building audit reports metrics and reporting mechanisms
Prior experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements in manual processes
Experience planning scheduling and tracking project timelines and milestones
Experience developing or leading the development of automated tools
The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication organization time management and problemsolving skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
