The Alexa Connected Devices (ACD) team builds device application APIs in the cloud for Alexa. The Groups Registry team in ACD is chartered with owning both backend registries for managing all kinds of device groups (speakers smart home devices and even automotive) and end user facing Alexa CX that allow customers to manage their groups and devices by simply using their voice.
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to help design and deliver on our backend initiatives that will drive consistency and UPL improvements and also work on our LLM facing Alexa CXs our end customers are asking for.
Key job responsibilities The team owns multiple Tier1 backend services and Alexa experts. We operate like a startup and expect our SDEs to be quick learners and rapid adaptors. Go to market and launching customer facing CXs sooner is how we prioritize things. Alongside we are laser focussed on QoS and availability SLAs so we expect SDEs to play roles in Dev Ops and improving CX.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience 2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
