AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domainspecific expertise able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expertlevel knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable flexible and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) which is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small and midmarket accounts to enterpriselevel customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customers most complex and business critical problems to build and execute gotomarket plans that turn AWS ideas into multibilliondollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO youll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. Key job responsibilities
Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers largest and most critical business challenges.
Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs whitepapers reference architectures and publicspeaking events such as AWS Summit AWS re: Invent etc.
Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts solutions and initiatives.
Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.


A day in the life
A typical day might include meeting with technical product managers at AWS or with partners collaborating with others to build and test demonstrations and proofs of concept and writing technical content such as blog posts and papers. It might also include reading technical news bulletins to stay abreast of changes in technology that affect your partners and getting handson with AWS every day.

About the team
The WWSO APJ CXE Specialist Solution Architecture team is a diverse group of architects located throughout Asia Pacific and Japan. The team develops Contact Centre architectures and solutions using Amazon Connect for our customers. Specialist SAs play a critical role in capturing customer feedback advocating for roadmap enhancements and anticipating customer requirements as they work backwards from their needs. As domain experts SSAs also participate in field engagement and enablement producing content such as whitepapers blogs and workshops for customers partners and the AWS Technical Field.

7 years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
5 years management of technical customer facing resources
5 years of experience building integrations across WFM CRM and contact center solutions or experience with communications protocols and APIs such as WebRTC and SIP or similar CCaaS technology

History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with largescale customers or enterprises
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives IT Management and developers.
Experience working within software development or Internetrelated industries
AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
