Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Kuiper Customer Experience team owns mobile and web experiences for customers to purchase receive and set up their Kuiper hardware and service. This role will own both web and mobile experiences to support customers throughout this journey partnering closely with product UX and business stakeholders to define and execute a roadmap to best serve our customers.

Key job responsibilities Build and execute a roadmap for Kuiper customer experiences.
Work with our peer teams and stakeholders to design suitable software systems and interfaces to fulfill customer needs.
Develop a strategic plan for the growth of the team both from a software services and organization perspective.
Hire & Develop a diverse team of software engineers.
Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Project Kuiper.
Help onboard and mentor new team members.
A day in the life You will work with Product Management UX and Business Stakeholders on defining the roadmap for Kuipers customer lifecycle. You will own solving customer problems and building software that is flexible for many different customer use cases and countries to support Kuipers global footprint.
3 years of engineering team management experience 7 years of working directly within engineering teams experience 3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers
