Cyber Security Engineer

St. Louis MO

Chenega Agile RealTime Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

Cyber Security Engineerposition involves leading multidisciplined teams in the design and implementation of the cyber security system architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplined teams in the design and implementation of the cyber security system architecture.
  • Produce cyber security architectural artifacts. Provide architectural analysis of cyber security
    features and existing systems related to future needs and trends.
  • Reviews and provides input to system requirements based on cyber security posture.
  • Compiles industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs.
  • Supports the Engineering Review Board by evaluating artifacts for architectural compliance.
  • Provides broadbased experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and applies the experience to specific cyber security initiatives relating to architectural design and development.
  • Resolves architecture implementation issues during integration and testing.
  • Advise and assist team members in deploying and configuring collection services and tools
  • Work with team members to move data to the appropriate data stores
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in information systems Information Technology Computer Science or a closely related discipline and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Masters degree with 6 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • 10 years of experience in lieu of adegree in the following:
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets EC2 Reserved Instances etc.
    • Experience with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs diagrams etc.
    • Experience with team collaboration tools (Jira Confluence RocketChat)
  • CompTIA Security or comparable IAT/IAM II/III certification required prior to hire
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with timerelated constraints in a fastpaced contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Friendly presence helpful attitude good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word Excel and other Office applications.
  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problemsolving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
