Your role
The Quality Manager (also referred to as the Site Quality Head) is responsible for managing and overseeing the Quality Department which includes the following: Quality Control Document Control CAPA Program Data Integrity Procedure and Policy Implementation Internal Audits Supplier Quality Management of Change Validation and Calibration. The position is responsible for implementing and maintenance of the quality management system to ensure compliance to ISO 9001. The Quality Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations Production & Development Packaging Operations Product Managers and LSQA teams to support Quality System compliance and customer needs. Responsible for leading and sponsoring improvement initiatives and goals as directed by Director of Operations.
Who you are
Education:
Requires a MS degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific field such as chemistry. PhD preferred.
Experience:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 required
- Fine chemical industry knowledge &/or experience desired
- Prior work experience in anISO environment is preferred
- Prior work experience managing teams
- 7 years business experience.
Essential Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge base and the ability to comprehend and communicate basic technical concepts.
- Able to make good decisions and exhibits excellent judgement
- Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; supports and explains reasoning for decisions; includes appropriate people in decisionmaking process.
- Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
