Job Description
Introduction
POSITION DUTIES
- Conducts risk assessments diagnostic assessments and other types of psychological assessments as assigned
- Provides direct psychotherapeutic services to incarcerated individuals to include cognitivebehavioral group psychotherapy individual therapy and crisis intervention
- May engage in researchrelated activities supervision and training of unlicensed members of the psychology staff and administrative supervision of other professional and clerical employees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet all minimum qualifications to be considered and to appear on the list of people eligible for hire. Please read all requirements before applying.
Education: A Doctorate degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university accepted by the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
Experience:Twoyears of experience renderingpsychological services or engaged in psychological research.
Note:
1. Licensure by the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologistscan be substituted for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Clinical Psychology classifications or Psychology specialty codes inthe Psychology field of work on a yearforyear basis for therequired experience and education.

- Personal Leave new State employees are awarded six 6 personnel days annually (prorated based on start date)
