We are looking for a software engineer who has strong technical design skills and is able to drive technical design of broad efforts that have high impact and visibility. This role has a number of opportunities for crossboundary ownership and require crossorganizational technical leadership skills to create seamless technical designs and solutions that reliably work endtoend.
Key job responsibilities Partner with Principal Engineers and Product and Program Management to define and grow the technical and architectural vision for UBCs missioncritical systems driving the brand and product experience on Amazon. Deliver and own scalable faulttolerant and highly available services that underpin our largescale data processing solutions. Build and own systems for discovery and lifecycle management of millions of brands and petabytes of data. Develop solutions to efficiently deploy and orchestrate application flows across a hybrid set of compute environments. Utilize serverless and container technologies to build nextgen scalable compute layer solutions.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience 2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
