Job Description
Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team! We are looking for entrepreneurial analytical creative flexible leaders to help us redefine the IT industry. If you want to join a fastpaced innovative team responsible for optimizing the financial performance of a diverse business portfolio this is the place for you!
In this role youll be at the center of driving AWSs sales strategy partnering directly with the US Federal organization to manage optimize and transform the investment portfolio. Youll collaborate with Senior Sales Business Development Engineering and Finance leaders to build financial plans analyze largescale investment opportunities develop new gotomarket strategies and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the daytoday business and helping drive strategic growth for the future.
You are a wellrounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving and possess strong attention to detail.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a key finance partner for the US Federal sales organization collaborating across executive leadership to analyze inputs and outputs assess business performance and optimize asset allocation.
Develop and evolve complex financial models that analyze program and portfoliolevel revenue profit and ROI impacts.
Build rhythm of the business processes that deliver ongoing insights and support daytoday decision making.
Engage and influence across the AWS Sales Finance and Operations hierarchy collaborating with stakeholders to optimize our customers experience achieve common goals and monitor risks.
Monitor compliance with controls and systems and develop new processes and controls as needed to support internal and external financial reporting requirements.
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 3 years of finance or a related analytical field experience
MBA or CPA
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience in financial modeling P&L management or analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
