The Corporate Procurement and Supply Services (CPSS) Branch serves an essential function for City Operations. We facilitate the acquisition of products services and equipment balance client requirements with corporate risk and support environmentally socially responsible procurement. We aim to achieve the best overall value for the corporation. This awardwinning team is looking for an enthusiastic innovative and creative student to join them.
Reporting to the Sustainable Procurement Lead this position will receive an overview of Sustainable procurement activities performed by the City of Edmonton and assist in implementing the Citys Sustainable Procurement program.
As a part of the team you will:
- Maintain Sustainable Procurement data using Google Workspace applications and SAP Ariba
- Compile data and use analytical skills to generate comprehensive reports
- Support the preparation of documentation to support business process analysis redesign and implementation activities (i.e. project plans; presentations; environmental scans and evaluation assessments)
- Support the preparation of documentation or graphics to support change management processes
- Undertake project work under supervision relating to knowledge management environmental scanning or other related areas
- Provide client departments and suppliers with information on Sustainable procurement policies and procedures
- Participate in meetings and projects
- Perform other duties as required
- Current enrollment fulltime at a postsecondary institution in a business social development sustainability studies engineering arts or related diploma or degree program and returning to school in the Fall
- Experience using Google Workspace applications or equivalent programs
Assets:
- Experience working or volunteering with Indigenous people projects or communities
- Experience working or volunteering with organizations that support under represented or equity seeking individuals
- Experience using or referencing procurement and/or inventory management concepts and techniques
- Experience with SAP Ariba
