You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJob Description: Purchase & Procurement Manager (Electrical Firm) No. of Position :- 1 Position Overview: The Purchase & Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process of goods and services required for an electrical firm. This includes managing supplier relationships negotiating contracts ensuring timely delivery and maintaining cost efficiency. The role involves collaborating with various departments to meet operational and project needs ensuring the procurement of high-quality electrical components tools and equipment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement Strategy & Planning: Ø Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and quality for electrical materials and services. Ø Forecast material requirements based on project schedules and operational needs. Ø Conduct market research to identify new suppliers products and trends in the electrical industry. 2. Supplier Management: Ø Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for electrical components tools and services. Ø Negotiate contracts prices and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements. Ø Manage supplier relationships ensuring consistent quality timely delivery and problem resolution. Ø Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies. 3. Purchasing Process: Ø Ensure purchase orders (PO) are created processed and tracked for all materials and equipment needed for projects. Ø Approve purchase requisitions ensuring the quality and quantity of materials align with project requirements. Ø Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels preventing shortages or excess stock. 4. Budget & Cost Control: Ø Monitor and control procurement budgets ensuring procurement costs remain within allocated limits. Ø Identify opportunities to reduce costs through bulk purchasing alternative suppliers or improved purchasing processes. Ø Review invoices and ensure timely payments while managing cash flow effectively. 5. Compliance & Documentation: Ø Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies industry regulations and quality standards. Ø Maintain accurate records of contracts purchases and supplier communications. Ø Prepare procurement reports for senior management providing updates on savings performance and supplier status. 6. Collaboration & Coordination: Ø Work closely with project managers engineers and other departments to ensure materials are delivered on time and meet specifications. Ø Coordinate with the finance team to ensure proper allocation of funds for purchases. 7. Team Leadership: Ø Lead and manage the procurement team providing training support and development opportunities. Ø Set performance targets for the team monitor progress and provide regular feedback. Ø Ensure a collaborative efficient work environment to achieve department goals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Supply Chain Management Electrical Engineering or a related f ield. 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing preferably in the electrical or construction industry. Strong knowledge of electrical materials equipment and suppliers. Proven experience in negotiating contracts supplier management and cost reduction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in procurement software ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Key Skills: Strategic sourcing and supplier management.
